In 1984, Jeffrey D. Clark began as an independent contractor providing the CFO function for funds of hedge funds. He also started and ran his own fund through the 80’s, pioneering many methodologies in hedge-fund administration. In 1991 he moved his operations from Washington State to Ogden, Utah, forming J D Clark & Company.
