Our highly popular events are directed by Synaptic Productions, an independent medical education company we formed to direct our ExpedMed Expedition and Wilderness Medicine conferences and our Medical Fusion conferences.
ExpedMed is a consulting company we formed to provide expertise to individuals and organizations interested in learning more about medicine in extreme and remote environments. Our Expedition and Wilderness Medicine conferences by ExpedMed are held each year in Washington, DC in the fall. All participants at our ExpedMed events receive a free copy of our $160 textbook entitled Expedition and Wilderness Medicine, and instruction from experts in Travel, Tropical, Expedition, and Wilderness Medicine.

In 2009 we began offering travel CME trips for those interested in learning CME “in the field.” Our first travel CME trip was a climb up Kilimanjaro with outfitter Tusker Trail . Future CME adventures can be found on our ExpedMed website.

Our Medical Fusion conference is held in Las Vegas each year in November. The goal of the Medical Fusion conference is to bring together leaders in a variety of niche fields to help teach medical clinicians how to leverage their medical training and expand their careers. Topics covered at these events include entrepreneurship, venture capital, publishing, medical journalism, medical device inventions, internet marketing, and filmmaking among others.
Participants at our Medical Fusion conference are exposed to a broad range of subjects and leave the event with skills and a network of contacts in various diverse fields to help them expand their careers.
All our faculty– both ExpedMed and Medical Fusion– are chosen for their impecable credentials and their communication ability. Many of our faculty have won teaching awards and all are well-known leaders in their fields.
